If your intention is to enjoy nature and connect with it, this is your opportunity to visit Humantay Lagoon. It is a magical, enchanting, and mesmerizing turquoise lagoon surrounded by imposing mountains that are part of the Andes Range, such as the majestic Salkantay and Humantay.

The water from these snow-capped peaks gives birth to Humantay Lagoon, which will transform your perception of nature. You will have the chance to appreciate the flora and fauna that will be forever etched in your unforgettable memories.

HUMANTAY LAKE FULL DAY

Pick-up from your accommodation between 4:00 to 4:30 a.m. to start our adventure tour to Humantay Lake. We’ll have approximately a 2-hour drive in tourist transportation to Mollepata. There, we’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast to fuel up for the day. After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey to Soraypampa (3850 meters above sea level), where we’ll begin our exciting hike to the famous lake, which will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. During our hike, we’ll appreciate unique landscapes that are part of the Peruvian Andes, including the breathtaking Humantay Mountains (5900 meters / 19,356 feet) and Salkantay Mountains (6271 meters / 20,390 feet). After conquering the final steps, we’ll arrive at the beautiful Humantay Lake at an altitude of 4250 meters. Here, we’ll have time to explore and enjoy this magical place with its turquoise blue water surrounded by stunning mountains. Your guide will share information about the area and some traditional customs of the Andean people. With personal memories in hand, we’ll return to our tourist transportation to take us back to Mollepata for a buffet lunch. Finally, we’ll return to Cusco around 6:30 p.m.
